Wow...

So umm.. yeah..

I haven't posted a blog in SUCH a long time.. No bueno.. The last one was back in December! YIKES!! So so much has happened since then!



Right after the last post, Nery and I went to San Francisco! That was an amazing trip! We did so much..  we visited the Muir Woods - the Redwoods are amazing - had lunch in Salsaulito, and went to Alcatraz all in the same day! We went to the Walt Disney Family Museum, enhanced our new obsession with Snow White (thanks to Sofie!), stopped by the Full House house, we went to Napa and did wine tastings in a castle! Of course we went to Fisherman's Wharf, had ice cream at Ghirardelli, rode the trollies and did a sunset cruise around the bay! It was the best Christmas present ever!

While in San Francisco, I got a phone call.  I was called to come in and interview at a Fortune 100 company. Tear.

I went.
I got it.

WAH

Sofie had to start daycare on January 6th. Consider my heart broken.

Oh my God.. just looking at this makes me want to cry!!!! 

Nery and I dropped her off together on her first day. Nery had to come with me because I didn't think I'd be able to leave her.. she didn't even flinch! She barely turned around to say good bye to us! Consider my heart shattered in a million pieces! I wanted to chalk it up to the fact that there were a bunch of new toys in a new place, its been 8 months since she started daycare and I can count on one hand the number of times she has cried at drop off! I think I've cried about it more than she has!!!! I guess this is a good thing. It shows me that she is happy at her school.  She seems to like her teachers and they adore her.  The other day they told me she was the popular one! When they go to chapel she is the first one to stand up and say the prayers and sing the songs.. all the older kids know her, and her little friends go home and talk to their mommies about my Sofie!

She just started K2 and I am still not thrilled about being away from her all day. I dont think I will ever get over that feeling!

The best part about "The Job" is leaving and going to pick her up!

She's growing so fast!!

We are exactly 61 days away from Sofie's second birthday! HER SECOND BIRTHDAY!!!! Where did the time go?! In exactly two months I am going to have a 2 year old!!! She is such a big girl already! She loves Minnie Mouse and is obsessed with Dora the explorer!! She likes to help my mom load the dish washer and wipe things clean. She is starting to show interest in the potty so hopefully we will begin potty training soon, and last week she started swimming lessons! I know it's a little late in the season for swimming lessons, but she is showing no fear when it comes to the water and we could not take any chances on her accidentally falling in and not being able to help herself! The lessons were an early birthday gift from my mom and my grandmother! I am so thankful for this gift! I dont' know what I would do with myself if anything happened to my little munchkin. She doesn't seem to like the classes too much - she cries the entire time!!! But she is getting the concept of holding her breath and can turn around to find the wall and wiggle her way over to it!

What can I say about "The Job"..  I've made new friends. Oh, and I found the Activities Committee and joined them!
My family and friends all know where I work, so for blog purposes, I will only mention it as "The Job".  I don't know if I will ever truly love it there. Or any job for that matter. I loved being a stay-at-home-mom.

That's all I really want to say about that.

At the end of the day I will do what I need to do for my family. They come first and mean everything!!
