Let's Go Marlins!!!

So last week we took Sofie to her first Marlins game! We went on June 27th, Marlins vs Cardinals. Marlins won 5 - 3! Sofia had a blast.. She laughed and made friends with everyone around us. She's a ham!

We left at the beginning of the 7th inning because we were a little worried that she would start getting fussy/sleepy since it was getting late - didn't want to push our luck or her patience! But as always, she behaved so well.  Nery and I are truly lucky that she is such a good baby!!

Our little monkey had her first cold last week.. thankfully it only lasted a few days and it didn't interrupt her sleeping pattern!! God bless the humidifier!!!  She had a stuffy and runny nose and a little bit of a sore throat {according to her doc, it was a little bit pink}, but no fever and no ear infection.  She's still a bit mocosa, but she is doing well.

I have officially started planning {and saving} for Sofie's First Birthday party!! I think for sure it is going to be at a park.. The weather should be beautiful since it's going to be in November.  I'm thinking Bill Baggs Park {El Farito}.  I do have a theme picked out, but I haven't decided if I want to share it with everyone yet! =) But I will say that I am SO FREAKING EXCITED about it!! Like over the moon, do back flips, twirls and cartwheels excited!!!! Nery says he isn't going to let me go over board with the party.. PFFFFT! Ok, I know that she is a baby, and she isn't going to remember a damn thing, but this is for me! It's the first First birthday that I get to host/throw and I want to make it special!! I want to make as many of the decorations as I can {to save money} as well as the favors.

Yesterday {July 2nd} I went to get Sofie out of her bed in the morning, and she was standing!!! It was the first time she's pulled herself up to stand in her crib! We lowered her crib about 2 or 3 days before that, and it's a good thing we did too! Poor thing, I heard her crying, saw her standing {she stopped crying when she saw me} and I turned and ran out of the room to get my camera, and she started crying again until I came back for her! I'm glad I got my camera when I did because I took her picture and she fell on her tush! So the picture I have of her standing is actually a picture of the very first time she stood on her own!! I'm such a proud momma!! I could talk about her all day! =)

Also yesterday, I got a tattoo! Guess of what.... Sofia's name! =) Original right? lol I don't care.. Like I said, I am a proud momma, and I'm not afraid to show it.. Now mommy and daddy have matching tattoos! Both tattoos were done by Dave Carbonell at Colorfast Tattoo Studio. Dave has done all of Nery's tattoos except for one.

Well, tomorrow is Sofie's first Fourth of July. We will be heading to abuelo and abuela's house for a pool day and then to Town and Country to watch the fireworks.. I love fireworks {my favorite part of going to Disney is the fireworks at the end of the day}. Speaking of fireworks at Disney.. One of the last times Nery and I went together before we got engaged, we were at Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  We were watching the fireworks from the porch of one of the restaurants.  We had found a bench to sit and wait for the show to start.  Once they fireworks started we both stood up.  At one point {I didn't notice} Nery sat down on the bench.  I turned around to tell him something and out of the corner of my eye I saw, what I thought was Nery kneeling, and I got so effing excited that he was going to propose!!! I was having a party in my head celebrating, until I turned all the way around and he was just sitting on the bench!! Wah waah waaaaaah!!! Total. Letdown! At least I can laugh at myself, and Nery has no problems laughing at me!! This story makes me giggle..

Back to the Fourth of July.. Tomorrow is Sofia's first Fourth and I am very very excited about taking her to see the fireworks. I feel as though she is going to be scared of the fireworks but I am hoping that she will surprise me and not cry. 

I lost the battery charger for my Rebel and I hope that the replacement I ordered gets here tomorrow! **Fingers, Toes and Eyes Crossed** I really want to use the Rebel to take pictures of my baby playing with a sparkler =) When I say playing with a sparkler, I mean mommy or daddy holding Sofie and holding a sparkler! I'm not that crazy! 

Ooh!! I started a Photo-A-Day challenge, for the month of July, on Instagram! I've done this once before in March of this year and it was fun! So time to do it again! =) At the end of the month I will do a blog post with all the pictures from the month.. Maybe if I have nothing to write about before then I will do a blog post with the March pictures! =) Maybe the week before the end of the month!! Oooh I'm excited now!! hee hee!!

It's getting late, and I'm sleepy.. So I want to share this last picture of my monkey's little tootsies! I took her with me to the bank today and she was pulling herself up to look over the partition and I couldn't help but notice she was standing on her toes to look over! So I took a picture of them.. so precious!!
